Meet Your Host
Steven “Tony” Skaggs began his PA career after graduating from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP)/The University of Nebraska in 2000. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 21 years, 11 of those as a PA-C. While on active duty, he spent much of his time working in family medicine and primary care. His first job outside the service was at MEDEX/The University of Washington, where he worked as a didactic instructor, clinical coordinator, and Director of Clinical Affairs. In 2015 he relocated to San Antonio, TX, where he currently works at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Department of Physician Assistant Studies as an assistant professor and associate program director. Now as host of TAPA Talks, Tony enjoys chatting with guests about what's impacting the PA community the most.
